Top MTB Gloves For Winter Reviewed
My criteria for a good pair of winter MTB gloves is simple. I want something that is a full-fingered glove. Something that keeps my hands reasonably warm. And finally, something that keeps my hands dry if I get caught out in the rain or snow. My mtb glove reviews below meet all these requirements.
1. ALTURA ProGel Waterproof Womens MTB Gloves
These cold weather mountain bike gloves for women are a great choice because they are also waterproof. They give a nice, secure fit and feature a padded palm so that the handlebars are quite as jarring for you as you ride. But you can still get a good range of motion while wearing them.
As of now, you can order these in two different colors but I am a fan of the red ones in the photo.
These windproof mtb gloves for women feature an adjustable cuff, which helps keep the cold air from hitting your skin and to give you a perfect fit. It also have reflective trims, which is great for those times that you are still out riding your bike after the sun goes down.
Hands down, I think that these are the best winter mountain bike gloves for ladies on the market right now. Hard to find a better value for the money, if you ask me.
2. ALTURA Progel Waterproof Men’s MTB Gloves
My top pick for women’s mtb gloves is also available in a men’s version! Even the same color choices are available.
Other than the gender sizing difference, these gloves are identical to the ladies’ version.
They offer a good fit, a waterproof exterior, windproof material that works to keep your hands warm and some reflective trim to keep you safe out there after dark.
These are some of the best men’s winter mtb gloves for the money and I definitely suggest checking them out.
3. Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Softshell Windproof MTB Gloves
If the cold wind is your biggest concern while out on the trails, then consider these great mtb gloves. They are both waterproof and windproof, but they really excel when it comes to blocking the wind to keep those hands warm.
The price of these is comparable to the ALTURA above, but the two brands do have one distinct difference. These gloves are NOT padded in the palm.
They do have a nice, soft fleece lining and a fleece wiping area for those times when you need to get rid of some sweat or take care of a runny nose.
Overall, these are comfortable, warm and you get a nice range of motion for shifting and such while wearing them. They also have reflective areas for safety after it gets dark outside.
